Spiritual and Moral Education classes for Children

These classes have been established by the Bahá’í community to provide children with a practical spiritual and moral basis on which to build their lives. 

Participation in the program is now being offered as a service to the wider Hobart community.

These classes aim to

• foster the awakening and development of the spiritual nature of each child
• encourage the development of virtues as the building block of character
• help students develop a global vision - the knowledge, skills and understandings required for world citizenship

We strive to use the learning style which suits each child and to help them realise their  own unique qualities and talents. The curriculum is produced and overseen by the Australian Bahá’í Education Committee.

Classes begin with prayers and music, and end with plenty of time for play and refreshments.

Class groupings

All groupings take account of development variation and children will be assigned to the appropriate group in consultation with parents.

What will the children learn in these classes?

Through the use of songs, stories, games and art activities...
